PHILEXPORT website certified by Sure Seal Trustmark
The Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc.'s (PHILEXPORT) website was recently awarded a Sure Seal Trustmark earned from promoting a safe and responsible platform in conducting online trade inquiries and business transactions.
Trust is the biggest factor between a website and a potential customer. This is why with a Trustmark certification, businesses will stand out from competitors, imitators and fraudsters by promoting transparency and highlighting their credentials.
This mark in the website further shows that the company complies with laws and Internet trading ethics. Aside from being a legitimate seller, holders of the mark are also deemed to be able to protect clients’ information.
From legal certications to physical inpections of facilities, to claims unique to the business, the Sure Seal Team will authenticate credentials using the strictest auditing standards. Moreover, it can turn website visitors into customers; gain competitive edge and increase sales.
Online businesses will benefit from this accreditation since Trustmark seals will:
- let consumers know that a seller's business is reliable;
- distinguish a company from online competitors, both legitimate and otherwise;
- be listed in SureSeal Online searchable database, a resource for anyone seeking trustworthy businesses;
- demonstrate that the company cares about honest advertising, fair treatment of customers, and self-regulation as an alternative to government regulation of businesses; and
- help increase consumer confidence in the Web as a safe place to shop
The certificate was issued by SureSeal, the first trademark seal in the Philippines and launched by Qartas Corporation last March 25, 2009. It is an international trust seal accreditation which aims to promote trust and confidence in transactions over the internet and encourage good E-commerce practice in business.
The Department of Trade and Industry Inc. (DTI) acknowledges Qartas’ campaign to credible and trustworthy online businesses through the Sure Seal Trustmark Program.
In an article in the Bohol Press Release, the Trade Department was quoted as saying that "they believe that a trustmark will generate many opportunities and open up possibilities for local businesses and enterprises, whether micro, small, medium or large, by encouraging them to venture online, thus, enabling them to become active participants in the vast global e-marketplace".
